Who should attend?
Ideal for women and men 50+ who need to exercise, but would rather spend an hour rolling in a poison ivy patch than taking an exercise class. Suitable for all ages, all levels. Beginners welcomed and encouraged!
Supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere
No worries about fitting in, or being the slowest, weakest, clumsiest, or the last chosen for a team (the instructor will assign teams randomly).
This is not your ordinary class of aerobic dance plus weights. There will be no choreography, so if you’re uncoordinated, no worries. There will be no mandatory running; most games will prohibit running. And core exercises will not involve sit-ups!
The format will vary from class to class, but will include a combination of the following (and more):
Interval training will be done at a pace that you determine, with rest periods when you need them. If you need to take a break from any activity, you are encouraged to do so, and to rejoin the group when you’re ready. Likewise, participants are welcome to take it up a notch if they desire and are able.
